MONDAY-SUNDAY A Variety of Shifts
Morning, afternoon, and Night
The any candidate applying for this position must hold these certifications or be willing to obtain Re-Certs within 14 days of hire:
Lifeguard Certification, CPR, First Aid, and AED
Weymouth Club has Lifeguarding courses that are run here every month.
Weymouth Club Lifeguard Job Description
1) Ensures the safety of patrons of an aquatic facility by preventing and responding to emergencies.
2) Ensures a safe, sanitary pool.
3) Cleans and maintains a spotlessly tidy and organized pool and deck space
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency.
Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service.
Performs various cleaning & maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.
Prepares and maintains appropriate activity reports.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Has schedule flexibility, covers shifts when requested for fellow lifeguard team mates.
Provides coverage from another guard for any shift allocated to them.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
CPR Certified; Current certification as Lifeguard by a recognized source of training.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Skill in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical skills evaluation as stipulated by the department.
Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
Knowledge of CPR and emergency medical procedures.
Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures. Weymouth Club Lifeguards ensure the safety and satisfaction of all Weymouth Club members & their guest in our pools, and around our aquatic environments. They maintain a meticulous facility at all times, keeping our pool areas spotless and clean.
Lifeguards will check pool chemistry every shift, and have no aversion to personally maintaining correct water chemistry.
Lifeguards must be alert at all times, and constantly scanning the pool area.
Weymouth Club Lifeguards will wear the appropriate uniform to every shift to including whistle, resuscitation mask and name badge.
The Lifeguards will assist the facilities department with seasonal set-up and take-down of the air structure.
The any candidate for this position must hold these certifications or be willing to obtain Re-Certs within 14 days of hire:
Lifeguard Certification, CPR, First Aid, and AED from a recognized governing body.
SCHEDULE
Lifeguarding schedule is assigned one or two month at a time in advance by the Aquatics Director or Assistant Aquatics Director.
Shifts can be swapped with other guards, once assigned the shift belongs to the guard it was assigned too.
Coverage for time off, school schedule changes, boy scouts, sports commitments etc. is the assigned guards responsibility.
If the guard does not find coverage it is still their shift. Failure to find coverage will result in employment termination

First choice of Summer guarding shifts going to those who work all year round for us.
ADDITIONAL HOURS:
Weekend Pool Party Guards for the pool parties that get booked every week. Various Times Changes Weekly
