when i was first starting to lifeguard i was eihgteen years old and right out of high school. i exercised around 45 minutes a day (skipping some days because i was lazy) and then when i started working at the indoor pool i found myself low on energy and out of breath alot so i started doing yoga because other lifeguards told me it helped them maintain alot of energy through the day and even though im not employed as a lifeguard right now i still practice yoga every day! i do basic streches and poses and i never really tried anything too advanced but i use yoga to build my core and exercise later in the day while eating protein rich foods like lean chicken and brown rice. if any of you have not tried yoga i defenitely recommend it sorry i didnt know where to put this thread lol

We have heard this from a lot of lifeguards! Stretching and relaxing seems perfect for lifeguards.
